Gebhart (Gebhardt), George W., age 83, of Miamisburg passed away March 16, 2016. He was born in Dayton to August and Marie Gebhardt.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
George served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a 1950 graduate of Fairmont High School. He retired from Standard Register. George was a member of American Legion Post 165, Miamisburg Moose Lodge and Eintracht Singing Society .
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bonita; daughters, Athy (John) Landis, Joyce Spurling and Susan (Ed) Huffman; grandchildren, Gregory and Clinton Brewster, Emily (Reggie) Pope, Nataley Spurling, Kristin (Jeremy) Bird and Marie Huffman; 2 great grandsons, Cruz and Leland.
George's family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22 from 1:30-3:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery with military honors.
