George Roskos

July 9, 1937 — January 15, 2020

George John "Skip" Roskos, Jr., 82, of Huber Heights, passed away on January 15, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital.

He was born on July 9, 1937 to George and Helen (Nagy) Roskos, Sr. in North Charleroi, PA.

Skip proudly served his country in the USAF, both Active Duty and Reserve.

Skip spent most of his life as a salesman for several Dayton area auto dealerships. He was also an independent insurance agent for several years.

On February 15, 1969 he married Helen K. Roskos (Smith). Skip and Helen volunteered for many years with A Special Wish Foundation-Dayton, and were recipients of the Thomas D. Dovel Volunteer Award.

He was a proud member of AMVETS, VFW, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Troy Fish & Game, and American Legion.

Skip was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Skip is survived by his loving wife, Helen, daughter, Sheri (Mark) Seelbaugh, grandchildren, Christopher (Brynnae), Aaron, Kyle, and Lauren, great grandchildren, Judah and Eden, and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Roskos, Sr., and brother, John "Jack" Roskos.

A special thanks to Stonespring of Vandalia and Miami Valley Hospital for Skip's treatment and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Skip's memory are suggested to A Special Wish Foundation, Inc., Dayton Chapter.

No services will be held in honor of his wishes.
