George K. Blanton age 71 of Fairborn, Ohio (originally from Toronto, Ohio) passed away October 21st, 2019.
George graduated from Jefferson Union High School in 1966. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1989 after 20 years of service. He then went on to work for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base until retirement in 2017.
He was an active member and song leader of Charity Baptist Church/Wellspring Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband & father whose hobbies included singing, guitar playing, traveling and RC plane flying.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Rosemary (Firm) Blanton of Fairborn, Ohio (originally from Toronto, Ohio) his three children: Bryan & (Brandi) Blanton, Tracy & (Brian) Hargis and Micah & (Rebecca) Blanton. His legacy includes seven grandchildren: Jordan & (Rebekah), Bryleigh, Izak, Hannah, Justus, Levi & Sara. He is also survived by his brothers Robert Blanton of Toronto, Ohio and Timothy & (Susan) Blanton of Xenia.
Family will receive friends at Wellspring Baptist Church 2094 OH-73, Waynesville, Ohio on October 28th. Viewing is from 9 am till 11 am immediately followed by funeral services. Pastor Sean Ireland and Chaplain (MAJ) Brian Hargis will be officiating.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors.
