George Anello

George Anello, age 97, of Dayton, passed away on February 23, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 5, 1926, the son of the late Gregorio and Mary Anello.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Maria Anello; siblings, Josephine Condi, Frank Anello, Thomas Anello, Mary Simmons and Ted Anello; and his granddaughters, Nicole Snyder and Maria LeMaster.

George is survived by his loving children, Adriana Snyder, Isabella Woleslagel, Nicholas Anello, Angela Hull, Grace Meredith, Mary LeMaster, and Teresa Stewart; 17 grandchildren & numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He served his country proudly by serving in the United States Army in World War II. George retired from NCR and General Motors.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a Blessing Service will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.

Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
