George C. Agins Jr.

George C. Agins Jr., lovingly known as "Beanie," passed away peacefully in Dayton on September 15, 2026. He was born on February 26, 1969, in Dayton, Ohio, a city that remained closely woven into the story of his life. 

George will be remembered as a funny, good natured man whose big heart and caring spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He found happiness in life's simple and meaningful pleasures; spending time with his family, enjoying the company of friends, and watching sports. Those everyday moments, shared with the people he loved, became the fabric of a life marked by warmth, affection, and genuine connection. 

He was a proud graduate of Belmont High School, Class of 1987. Throughout his life, George carried himself with a loving nature that drew people to him and made them feel at ease. His kindness was not only seen in his smile and sense of humor, but also in the way he showed up for others. One of the clearest reflections of his character was the care he gave to his father during his last days, an act of devotion that spoke deeply of his compassion and his steadfast love for family. 

George leaves behind a circle of loved ones who will continue to hold his memory close. He is survived by his wife, Leah; his mother, Marcella Agins; his brother, Jeffrey (Lattricia) Agins; his nephew, Wesley Agins; his niece, Jailyn Agins; his cousin, Destin (Ashley) Grayson; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. In their love, their memories, and the stories they will continue to share, George's presence will remains near. 

George is preceded in death by his father, George C. Agins Sr. and his special cousin, Angela "Angie" Grayson. 

To those who knew him best, George was more than the sum of the dates of his life. He was a loving husband, a devoted son, a treasured brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. He gave laughter freely, cared deeply, and brought comfort simply by being himself. His memory will be cherished with enduring love. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 3 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering. Visitation will begin prior to service at 1 PM at the funeral home.
