Slone, Genene, of Tipp City, passed away February 1, 2017.
She was a lifelong and faithful believer of Jesus Christ and was a member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church since 1998. Genene had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frankie(Mullins) and Keenis Hamilton, siblings, Tolby Hamilton, Jean (Thurman) Vance, Avenel (Clancey) Ray, Ethel (Andy) Hamilton, Claude Hamilton, Odra Hamilton, and Jerry (Bonnie) Hamilton.
Genene is survived by her husband of 58 years, Preston "Oberene" Slone; children, Tommy Slone, Gretchen (Scottie) Hamilton; grandchildren, Delaine (Bill), Jordan,and Cole; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Hannah; siblings, Ival (Bobby) Newsome, Hattie Hamilton, Ishmael (Penny) Hamilton, Flossie (Randall) Hall and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held 5:00pm until 8:00pm Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Northridge Freewill Baptist Church , 4800 Payne Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45414 where funeral service will be held at 12:00pm Monday, February 6, 2017, Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
