Gene Paul Rose, age 81 of Miamisburg, formerly of West Carrollton, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. He was born May 25, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Clarence and Mary Rose.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his siblings and an infant son.
Gene is survived by sons, Michael Rose and Matthew Rose; grandchildren, Travis, Taylor and Taryn as well as other extended family and friends.
Gene was a 1956 graduate of Stivers High School in Dayton. Gene enlisted in the Army Reserves after meeting his wife and began a family. Gene had been employed by NCR, General Motors and finally retiring as a bus driver for the City of Dayton. He enjoyed recreational sports including basketball, baseball and golf. Gene also enjoyed horse racing.
The family is honoring Gene's wishes for cremation and private family memorial in Florida. Memorial contribution may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
