Gene Dutiel

Gene Dutiel, age 83 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born April 3, 1942 in Vernon, Ohio the son of the late, Herbert and Anna Belle Duteil.

Gene proudly served his country in the United States Navy in the Korean War. He made connections with VFW and Moose Lodges in the area. In his free time, he thoroughly enjoyed riding his bike and was a Champion Trials Bike Rider. Gene was a private person but he will be missed by those who knew him and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Cherie Deis; and brothers, Williams Duteil and Harold "Hal" Duteil.

Gene is survived by his son, Craig (Jenny) Dutiel; grandchildren, Destiny Kimmerly and Isaac Dutiel; great granddaughter, Ava; Cuz Sandy; and mother of his children, Sandy Dutiel.

Per Gene's wishes, there will be no services held. The family asks that you donate to St. Jude's or The Shriner's in Gene's memory.
