Gene A. Overholtz

Overholtz, Gene A. "RED", age 67, of New Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. Gene was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Gene loved to spend his time fishing. Gene is survived by his daughter: Cindy (Neimann) Sorrell; grandson: Ronnie Crain; sisters: Linda (Mark) Meyers, Carol Atkins; brothers: Jimmy (Becky) Overholtz, Kirk (Sharon) Overholtz; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Homer & Bertha (McNeese) Overholtz; brothers: Bill Forsythe, Ronnie Overholtz, Jerry Overholtz; and sisters: Ruby Forsythe, Janice Mason. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel). The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
