Gayla June Keen-Schopp

Gayla Keen-Schopp, age 71 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was born October 8, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Samuel and Barbara Keen. Gayla was a passionate gardener. She had a real green thumb and maintained a beautiful flower garden for years. Gayla enjoyed listening to music and watching Hallmark movies. She cherished time spent with family and loved being a grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Gayla is survived by her Son, Charles W. (Allison) Johnson; Granddaughters, Penelope J. Johnson, and Harper C. Johnson; Sister, Pamela Keen; Brother, Christopher Keen; Step-Daughters, Tammy Cochran, and Margery Johnson; and by numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Husband of over 20 years, Frank Schopp; Sister, Lynneta Keen and her Parents.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459).
