Gary Lee Wright

October 15, 1950 — August 8, 2025

Riverside, Ohio

Gary Lee Wright, a cherished figure in the lives of many, was born on October 15, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Gary peacefully departed from this world on August 8, 2025, at home, surrounded by his beloved family—a testament to the warmth and love that characterized his life.

From a young age, Gary demonstrated a strong work ethic, taking pride in his career as a broom maker alongside his father at the Local Wright Broom Company. This not only showcased his dedication but also the values of craftsmanship and family that were integral to his being. Those who had the privilege to know Gary described him as kind-hearted and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His genuine spirit was felt far and wide, making him a friend to many, and his laughter echoed in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of sharing moments with him.

Gary's greatest joy came from his family. He was a loving husband to his wife Patricia, with whom he shared an incredible 49 years of marriage. Their love story began in middle school, blossoming into a partnership that was a foundation of support and companionship. Together, they built a family filled with memories, love, and laughter. Gary's pride was immeasurable when it came to his children, Travis Wright and Tina (Brad Kreider) Wright, and particularly his grandson, Tim Wright, who brought him immense joy and fulfillment, embodying Gary’s greatest achievements and heartfelt legacy.

Beyond his family, Gary had a profound appreciation for nature, spending countless hours outdoors, enjoying fishing, yardwork, and simply soaking in the beauty around him. His love for solar lights and windchimes showcased his whimsical spirit and his joy in creating a welcoming environment for family and friends. Adding to the lively atmosphere of his home were his fur babies, Tequila, Malibu, Taz and Brandy, who brought companionship and joy to his daily life.

Gary also shared a strong bond with his brother Bob (Toni) Wright and leaves behind multiple nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished his presence deeply.

He is predeceased by his parents, Juanita and James Wright, and his brother, Mike (Kathy) Wright. While they may be gone, the love and lessons they instilled in Gary will continue to resonate through the lives he touched.

As we reflect on Gary's life, we celebrate a kind soul whose spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy of love, family, and friendship is a beautiful reminder of the impact one life can make. Gary Lee Wright will be deeply missed, but his warmth and kindness will continue to shine brightly within the memories of all who knew and loved him.
