Gary Lee Krodel

October 2, 1946 — February 4, 2017

Krodel, Gary Lee, 70, of Huber Heights, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2017.

He was born October 2, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Orville and Hazel (Hickman) Krodel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rhonda Krodel; daughter, Karen Parker; son, Jeffrey (Tracy) Krodel; granddaughter, Samantha Renee Parker; brother, Jay Edward (Vicki) Krodel; nephew, Bryan; nieces,Wendi (Gary) Strine, Kara (Jake) Woolsey; numerous other relatives and special friends and his special "fur-legged" family, Smokey and Jesse.

Gary loved being involved with his community, and was a member of the Huber Heights Jaycees. He was a music lover and an avid collector of records (Travelin'man records). Along with his wife Rhonda, Gary owned Yesterday's Memories Antiques and Collectibles in Huber Heights. He was a big Wayne High School, OSU, Bengals and Reds fan. Gary loved all animals.

Most of all Gary was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Gary was very creative and enjoyed handcrafting.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. He never knew a stranger and always greeted people with a handshake, a smile or a hug.

In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, K-Love, or the Shriners Childrens Hospital in Gary's memory.
