Gary Garison

Gary Steven Garison, age 61 of Vandalia, was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus on March 7, 2020. He was born May 26, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ben and Marilyn Garison.

Gary is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Therese Garison; children: Megan Gariety (Mark), Matthew Garison (Cassie) and Michael Garison; grandchildren: Karter, Krosby, Krawford and Katcher; sisters: Leslie Goldstein (Victor) and Peggy Fogelman; special cousin, Linda Shapiro; many other relatives and friends.

Gary worked at Spectracam where he was known as GG and for singing. Gary was happiest when he was blowing up toy trains, sharing snow cones at the ballpark and playing Batman with his grandchildren. He enjoyed camping with his wife in the camper that he built, The Nugget. Gary loved reading the Bible and his favorite book was the World Almanac. He loved his dog, Gracie, and going on long drives through the country.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday.
