Gary Alan Feltz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Centerville, Ohio on November 19, 2025. Born on September 20, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, Gary lived a life full of love, laughter, and deep connections with those around him.

Gary's professional journey was marked by dedication and success. He served as a Senior Manufacturing Estimator at Delphi Automotive, where he devoted 40 years of his career before retiring. In addition to this, he held a real estate license and owned multiple rental properties, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit.

An alumnus of Wright State University, Gary graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. His education laid a solid foundation for his career and personal endeavors. Gary proudly served in the Army National Guard and loved his country.

He was well-known for his warm and welcoming personality, exhibiting kindness and encouragement to all who crossed his path. Gary possessed a remarkable talent for storytelling, particularly relaying amusing tales from “Cop's Corner” in the Longboat Observer. His humor was infectious; he often shared that he “never had a cookie he didn't like” and humorously added, “never let the truth get in the way of a good story.”

Gary's hobbies and interests reflected his vibrant spirit. A longtime member of Fairhaven Church, he was a devoted follower of Christ. He had a passion for music, particularly oldies, and could readily identify songs, their artists, and their release years. His love for animals, especially dogs, was evident in the joy they brought him.

One of Gary's most treasured aspects of life was family. He and his wife of 53 years, Karen Feltz, created a lifetime of memories together. They cherished family vacations at least once a year and embarked on numerous road trips, further fueled by their love for travel. Their adventures together included a European trip, and their fondness for the beach led them to purchase a condo on Lido Key in Sarasota, Florida. Gary will be fondly remembered for his heartfelt bear hugs and as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who deeply cared for everyone in his life. His proudest accomplishments were his children, Matthew (Michelle) Feltz and Mollie (Brian) Sweet, and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Kaylee, and Braden Sweet, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Gary is survived by the love of his life, Karen; children, Matthew (Michelle) and Mollie (Brian); grandchildren, Gabriel, Kaylee, and Braden; brothers-in-law, Larry (Pam) Ridings and Chris (Lori) Corwin; as well as many extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Feltz and Viola Carr, and his brother, Robert "Bob" Feltz.

Gary Alan Feltz leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
