Gale E. Harmeling, 86, of Dayton, passed away September 20, 2017. Gale was born in Dayton, on February 7, 1931 to the late Joseph and May Harmeling. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherri (Dave) Minor, Sheila Downing; son, Steve (Diana) Harmeling; special niece, Sabrina (Terry) Furlow, wife of 25 years, Phyllis Harmeling; grandchildren, Jenny, Chris, Scott, Lara, Sarah; sisters, Carolyn Wahrer, Donna Ryne; and several other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, from 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10am at St. Mary's, 310 Allen St., Dayton. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton and Elmcroft of Washington Township for the loving care he received. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
