Frederick Mable, 94, of Vandalia, OH, formerly of Aurora, CO passed away on May 9, 2018.
Frederick was born on August 4, 1923 in Binghamton, NY. Throughout the years, Fred, and his loving wife Marion, lived in various communities throughout New York State before retiring in Aurora, CO in 1991.
Fred proudly served his country in World War II in the Army Air Corps as a P-47 munitions technician.
During his employment, Fred held several positions within the Insurance Sales Industry. While he was with Utica Mutual, he was named a member of the President's Club for sales excellence. He culminated his career as President of the Elec-Con Agency in Latham, NY. In retirement, he manned the front desk at the Heather Gardens Community Center in Aurora, CO.
Fred was known for his positive outlook, quick wit and keen sense of humor. He was a ray of sunshine to all who knew him. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, F. Leon Mable, mother, Florence Bechtol; wife Marion Wengrovius Mable, brothers William P. and Robert T. Mable.
He is survived by his son Leon Mable (Sharon) of Vandalia, OH; and daughter Lori Hartmann (Michael) of Huntsville, AL. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Dr. Jessica Fealy (Joseph), Dr. Jeremy Mable (Elizabeth), Jeffrey Mable, Curtis Hartmann, and Dr. Morgan Lund (Robert)
and five great-grandchildren, Liam, Caroline and Owen Fealy & Molly and Margaret Mable.
Close family gathered for a celebration of life on May 12 in Vandalia, OH.
Burial will occur at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO – arrangements are pending.
