Freda Mae Leach, 88, passed away April 30, 2017 at Sycamore Hospital. Freda was born in Wellston, Ohio on December 20, 1928. She was a gifted craftswoman and enjoyed making gifts for her family. She was a lifelong Christian and attended Methodist Church.
Freda was preceded in death by her mother, Freda Josephine Leach; father, Abbie Leach; and sisters, Florence Leach, Virginia Armstrong, Thelma Colley, Donna K. Jennings.
She is survived by her sister, Bonnie (Henry) Mays; nieces, Elizabeth Mays, Vicky Tobin, Peggy Schwamberger, Linda Colley; and nephews, Henry Mays, Jr. and Willard Jennings, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Peggy Cromer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
