Fred’s remarkable work ethic did not wane upon his retirement; he continued to serve the community in the civilian sector, focusing on education and fire prevention. His contributions were recognized throughout his career with numerous awards and accolades, a testament to his impact and the respect he garnered in his field.
Known for his unwavering dedication to firefighting and fire prevention, Fred embodied the spirit of service. His devotion extended beyond the duties of his job; he took pride in educating others and helping them understand the importance of safety in their homes and workplaces.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Fred L. Peckolt, his brother, Mike Peckolt, his sister, Rebecca Frick, his nephew, Mike Peckolt Jr. and great-nephew, Michael Adams.
