FRAZIER PEGRAM of Huber Heights, Ohio went to his heavenly home on December 22, 2016. Frazier was born May 30, 1931 in Fuquay-Varina, NC to the late Wayne and Mary Jane (Battle) Pegram. He served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. Upon retirement Frazier located to Ohio where he joined Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and became very active in the church. Frazier enjoyed working in the church serving the Lord. He was a Sunday school member, Treasurer, Trustee Board member, and served anywhere he was needed. Frazier was a loving and caring husband and father and in his spare time he loved fishing and tinkering with cars. He had a great sense of humor, loved a good laugh and was always quick with a comeback.
FRAZIER WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH by his daughter, Gwendolyn Johnson Fitzgerald and his son, Bobby Pegram, his loving mother-in-law Mary Daymon, his brothers, Jessie, Calvin, and Emory Pegram. He leaves to cherish his fond and happy memories; his devoted and caring wife Ethel (Clem) Pegram, married 59 years, 11 months. Daughters; Latanya (Michael) Lacaze and Tawanda Pegram of Huber Heights, OH, Belinda (William) Rogers of Durham, NC, Glenda Thomas and Rosalyn (Robert) Harris of Raleigh, NC. One brother Wavely (Willa) Pegram of Fuquay-Varina, NC, a Godchild Anthony Prince of Dayton, OH. Twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a special nephew, James Daymon of St. Petersburg, FL. Foster children; Reina Holliday, William and Anita Prince of Dayton, OH, James and Gloria Elcan of Huber Heights, OH. Five sister-in-law's, two brother-in-law's, a host of nieces, nephews, other and extended family; the Freeman family. Devoted and loving friends; Saundra Smoot, Idella Young, Margaret Spearman, Wilbur Green and his fishing partner Archie Enoch. The family would like to thank his doctors and everyone with a special thanks to Hospice of Miami Valley.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 1 Diamond Avenue, Dayton, OH 45403 on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Visitation 10:00 -12:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 11-12:00 p.m. with service beginning at 12:00 p.m.. Bishop K. Edwin Bryant, Pastor and Rev. Gary Fancher, officiating.
