Franklin Lewis Hicks, age 58 of Riverside, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at his home. He was born September 23, 1962 in Meridian, Mississippi the son of Franklin and Willie Mae Hicks.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He served from the time he was a teenager and continued his work even after retirement. He was a talented musician, with a passion for playing acoustic guitar and singing. He taught several of his grandchildren to play guitar. His favorite bands were The Byrds, The Beatles and CSNY. He will be remembered as the grill master for his cooking skills; especially his potato salad. Frank was a loving father, grandfather, husband and fiancé who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Daisy Hicks and father-in-law, Ray Allen Bass.
Franklin is survived by his children,Sean (Tammy) Hicks, Dan (Erica) Hicks & Cassie (Josh) Swihart; grandchildren, Zoe-Lynne, Connor, Brooke-Anne, Lana, Jakob, Leland, Laylah, Beau, Lombardi, Kash & Cory; fiancé, Liz Hicks; siblings, Bob Riddle & Nancy (Robert) Haas; in-laws, Leah Bass, Allen (Elizabeth) Bass, Bessie (Dean) Blythe, Chris Bass, Eric (Jennie) Bass & Farren (McKenzie) Bass; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Viewing will be Saturday May 8, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Memorial Service following at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
