Francis Joseph Stanforth

Francis Joseph Stanforth, "Joe," age 79 of Miamisburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Kingston of Miamisburg. He was born September 4, 1945 in Hillsboro, Ohio, the son of the late Andrew Stanforth and Mildred Crone.

Joe was a lifetime musician, with a specialty in playing the bass guitar. He was also a lifetime Mason with Jefferson Lodge No. 90. He also enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments. Most importantly, he was an all-around family man, and loved the Lord.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Stanforth; sister, Clara E. Stanforth; and brother, Andrew M. Stanforth.

Joe is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Joseph C. (Connie) Stanforth, Michelle (James) Hood, and Shannon D. Cavanagh; bonus daughter, Lynn (Mark) Parson; bonus son, Jeff Short; sister, Peggy E. (Carl) Poole; brother, Randy L. (Fran) Crone; as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). Funeral service will begin at 10:00 am. Joe will be laid to rest in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Miamisburg, Ohio.
