Frances Jane (Back) Hampton

January 23, 1938- December 28, 2025

Wife to Dennis Hampton; Mother to Teresa (Hampton) Shiver (her husband Jerry) and George Hampton (his wife Michelle); Grandmother to Nicole (Mark), Christopher (Alysha), Ashley (Bobby), Tyler (Rachel), Kyle, Riley Maggie, Katherine and Randy (Alexis) Great Grandmother to Troy, Chase, Madison, Colin, Clayton, Colton, Charlotte, Reid, Carter, Cadence, Kennedy, Oliver, Emma, Cash, Ben and Jack She adored every one of her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Frances was born in Blackey, Kentucky to Troy and Laura Back, she had two older siblings (June and Jay) and two younger siblings (Mable and John). She and Dennis met in school at six years old and became sweet hearts. Dennis' dad used to tell people that that girl was going to be his daughter-in-law some day. They were in school together until High School when she moved to a different school district. Dennis joined the military at 17 and was away for four years. They stayed in touch through letters and he ended up purchasing an engagement ring and mailing it to her to ask her to marry him. He was in Phoenix Arizona when he left the military and accepted a job as a civilian. He returned to Kentucky to marry Frances, they were married on February 20, 1960. They would have been married 66 years in February of 2026. He took her back to Phoenix where both of their children were born. Her being a Kentucky Girl, she didn't care for the heat, sand and very little green out there and wanted to return to the East. They landed in Dayton Ohio and Dennis got a job with National Cash Register.

They purchased a home in Beavercreek Ohio, where they raised their family. She and Dennis became Christians very early in their marriage. She was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Kettering. Up until the last year, when she became too sick, they attended every Sunday. She loved the Lord and was Homesick for Heaven. In the last weeks of her life she would tell anyone that she was talking to that she wanted to go home.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints. Psalm 116:15
