Martha Frances Steele age 93, of Dayton passed away December 31, 2019 at Heartland of Centerville.
Frances was born May 3, 1926 in Quincy, West Virginia to the late Omar and Carrie Riffle.
She was longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church, Kettering. She worked for the State of Ohio for many years as a clerical employee.
Frances was predeceased by her parents and was the last of 7 children born to the Riffle family. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Tharrell Steele in 1988.
She is survived by her children Sherry (Ken) Lambert of Kettering and Richard (Diane) Steele of Xenia; grandchildren Kristopher (Melissa) Lambert of Kettering, Rebekah (Scott) Skaroupka of Englewood and Brad (Angie) Steele of Jamestown; great grandchildren Cole and Logan Steele, Elainah, Kylah and Danikah Skaroupka; as well as many other relatives and friends who were blessed to know her.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm officiated by Pastor Jim Gifford of First Baptist Church of Kettering. Burial will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville, Ohio.
