Frances Margaret Partin (Harkness), 90, of Centerville, passed away Mar. 16, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Harlan, KY on Oct. 20, 1925 to the late Philip and Minnie Harkness. She retired from Rikes after 28 years. Most of which were spent at the ticket office where she became an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She resided, the last 10 years, at Liberty/Pristine Retirement Community where she made many friends among residents and staff. She attended Grace Methodist Church while living in Dayton.
Along with her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Price and Pauline Parks; brothers, Philip, Ralph and Jim Harkness.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Harkness; sister in law, Barbara Harkness and children Lizabeth Coolidge, John (Vicki), Bob (Beverly), Jim (Elane) Partin; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Dayton would be appreciated.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, Mar. 20, 2016 from 5 -7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, where funeral services will be held on Monday, Mar. 21, 2016 at 1:30pm.
Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City.
