It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Frances Juvera, who left this world suddenly yet peacefully at home on May 9, 2026. Born on January 31, 1939, in the vibrant city of San Francisco, Frances embodied the spirit of her birthplace: lively, open-hearted, and full of a zest for life that touched everyone she met.
Frances was a woman of remarkable grace and strength, virtues that she carried effortlessly throughout her 87 years. She was the cherished wife of the late Jesse Juvera, whom she married on April 8, 1961. Together, they nurtured a family rooted in love and happiness, and their union was a testament to the enduring power of partnership and devotion. Frances and Jesse shared a love story that spanned decades. She was never the same since his passing 8 months ago. Now they are reunited in eternal peace.
A dedicated mother, Frances was predeceased by her beloved son, Steven, whose memory she cherished deeply. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Mary Cunningham, and Mary’s loving husband Mark. She was a doting “Grammy” to Parker and Kamryn Cunningham, and Anthony Juvera. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life and they brought endless joy and laughter to her days.
Family was the cornerstone of Frances’ life. She was a beacon of warmth and wisdom, always ready with a comforting word or a gentle smile. Her home was a sanctuary of love, where her family gathered often, basking in the warmth of her nurturing spirit. All were always welcome. Her kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone she knew. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we say goodbye to Frances, we hold close the memories and lessons she imparted. Her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will continue on in those she leaves behind. Though she will be dearly missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life was a shining example of love, devotion, and grace, and she will forever be remembered for the light she brought into the world. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so generously gave to others.
