Frances J. Blackford

Frances J. Blackford, age 76 of Dayton, Ohio passed away on February 28, 2026. She was born February 10, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late James and Karen Gerevac.

Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and doing her puzzles. Her pride and joy was her family and she loved them dearly. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Blackford; and the father of her children, Leonard Johnson.

She is survived by her partner, Andy Eloskey; children, Leonard (Jamie) Johnson and Karen Johnson (William); grandchildren, Brandon, Leonard Jr., Nathaniel (Autumn), Austin, Billy, Hope, Anthony, Joseph, Ethan, and Weylin (Nathalia); great grandchildren, Paisley, June, and one on the way; 4 brothers; best friend, Rhonda Peyton; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 2-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 3pm.
