Floyd Bell, age 76, of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born December 16, 1942 in Sneedville, Tennessee.
He began his career with Frigidaire and retired after 30 years of dedicated service with General Motors. Floyd was an avid hunter and enjoyed listening to Christian, Bluegrass and Country music. He especially loved listening to his friends, The Abner's. Floyd was a people person who loved to talk to anyone coming or going. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by loving wife, Ruth Ann (Hill) Bell in 2016; mother, Hillar Bea (Bell) Woodard; sister, Lois Vogt and brother, Laymon Bell.
Floyd is survived by his beloved daughters, Sherry (Willis, Jr.) Gentry and Lisa (Eric) Oditt; grandchildren, Jacob Hill, Caleb (Madison Langner) Hill and Madyson (Logan Scully) Duncan; sisters, Peggy Miller, Vanessa (Mike) Vitale and Mary (Bob) Crawford; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at The Block Church of God, 434 Nineth Street, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342, where a Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 pm. Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel entrusted with Floyd's arrangements.
