Flossie Carper

Flossie L. Carper, age 77 of Miamisburg, passed away on June 13, 2016 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born on April 3, 1939 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late John and Sarah (Riley) Howard.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bill Carper; son, Steven W. Bray; step-mother who raised her, Georgia Howard; brother, Carson Howard and brother-in-law, Ernie McHone.

Flossie is survived by her loving children, Scott (Lisa) Carper, Patty Hawkins; six grandchildren, Kristina (David) Allen, Karly (Gary) Helton, Jackie Shurts, Johnathan Hawkins (Cheyenne Swisher), Teddy Shurts, Brady Carper; five great-grandchildren, Adrian, Addison, Audrey Allen, Jayden and Chloe Helton; seven sisters, Charlitt (Toby) Newell, Geneva (Freddy) Lawrence, Sandra Sue McHone, Mable (Lowell) Young, Diana Wilson, Darlene (Grover) Bowling, Patricia (Freddie) Barger; three brothers, Johnnie Mack (Pam) Howard, Ricky (Iva) Howard, Glenn (Donna) Howard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Flossie hated to dress up, so please come as you are.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 from 10 am to 12 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. Funeral service will begin at 12 pm, with Pastor John Swint officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Miamisburg, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
