Florida Deaton

Florida Deaton, age 79 of Miamisburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2020. She was born December 6, 1940 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late James and Callie Deaton. She is also preceded in death by her three sisters, Vernia (C.J.), Ruby (Charles), and Remonia; and two brothers, Charlie and Carson.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Jean); two daughters, Sharon and Karen; granddaughter, Sara (Matt); grandson, Alexander; brother, Arnold (Chris); two sisters, Maxine and Mary. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Florida was a retired school bus driver for the city of West Carrollton. She loved her school bus kids. Florida was very creative and loved to sew. She was an avid reader and great cook. She also loved the beach and to take adventurous vacations. She was very family oriented and valued the time she spent with them.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2020. A Memorial Service will be officiated at 11:00 am. For your safety and the protection of others during the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are required.
