Fatima Meadows, age 95, of Beavercreek, passed away July 6, 2026. Fatima was born in Wheelwright, Kentucky on April 23, 1931 to the late Husane and Millie Mustafo.
Fatima married James Edward "Jimmy" Meadows on August 20, 1953, their marriage lasting for 64 years until his passing in 2017. She is also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bernette Lawson, Jack Lawson, Wallace Lawson, Emmett Harrison and Johnny Mustafo; as well as Jimmy's brothers and sisters.
Fatima will be missed by her sister-in-laws, Phyllis Mustafo and Barbara Meadows, several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
In her free time, she enjoyed painting, quilting, reading, puzzles, flower arranging, cake decorating, traveling and visiting covered bridges. Fatima was also a collector of Agatha Christie novels and Yesterday's Child figurines.
She graduated from Stoco High School in West Virginia. After working for Ohio Bell for 31 years, she retired in 1982.
Fatima loved her family. She was a dignified and reserved woman, though she was a great story-teller and had a great sense of humor. She loved her cat, Silky, and would often share stories about her.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), with a memorial service to follow at 1:00pm. There will be an urn interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens following the service.
