Faith Layne

Faith Layne, age 70 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2025. She was born June 22, 1955 in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of the late J.C. Day and Geneva Koger.

Faith was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devout Christian, whose faith was un measurable. She was a caring and generous woman who would do anything for anyone in need. Faith enjoyed bringing laughter to others and putting a smile on the faces of those around her. Faith's pride and joy was her family and she loved them unconditionally. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Faith was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Turner; daughter, Crystal Prunkard; late husband, Sergeant Blane Layne; the father of her children, Michael Turner; and sister, Nadine Reedy.

Faith is survived by her daughter, Delta "Dee" (Bill) Blair; grandchildren, Dillon (Rachel) Wessler, Jerrica (Taylor) Wessler, Elijah Turner, Peyton Turner, Hunter Turner, Jordan Wessler; great grandchildren, Sophi, Bryson, Rylie, Ella, Iris, Rilo, Lucas, Austin, and Ezekiel; brother, Ronnie Day; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 9:30am-10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am with burial to follow to Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
