E.W. Smith

E.W. Smith "Wayne", age 70 of Vandalia, passed away June 12, 2016. He was born April 25, 1946 in LaFollette, TN to the late Hubert and Viola Smith. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Mae Kincer; and granddaughter, Dana Hayden.

Wayne is survived by his daughters: Cara Smith (Jim Kidd) and Amber Bias; grandchildren: Sarah (Chris), Emily and Lindsy; great-grandson, Thomas Micheal; sisters: Gladys (Dick) Chittick and Shirley Smith; nieces: Sherry, Darla and April; a host of other relatives and friends, including: longtime companion, Jane Postell and lil' buddy, Bentley.

Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Army; he retired from General Motors; and was a member of Garry Fenton and the Nitelights band.

Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:00 pm on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm.
