Everett Owen Gifford

Everett Owen Gifford, age 72 of Dayton, passed away June 10, 2017. He was born August 14, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Everett and Helen Gifford. In addition to his parents, Owen was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ed Keller and grandsons: Zachery Gifford and Anthony Gifford, Jr.

Owen is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha Gifford; children: Sherrie (Donald) Smith, Charles (Michelle) Gifford and Tony (Ruth) Gifford; 12 grandchildren: Brandon, Tiffany, Chelsie, Brittney, Tyler, Tyler, Kelley, Dennis, Alyssa, Joshua, Jacob and Joseph; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters: Sharon Hughes, Helen Keller and Donna (Terry) Lane; sisters-in-law: Linda McPheron, Juanita (Steve) Harnish and Michelle (Mike) Povenmire; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Owen was an avid NASCAR fan and worked on many race cars. He enjoyed fishing and loved his dog, Hayden. Owen enjoyed his time sitting outside around the fire.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 2 pm.
