Everett Combs

Everett Combs, age 85 of Xenia, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at Otterbein Springboro Senior Life Neighborhood. He was born January 7, 1941 in Engle, Kentucky the son of Beckham and Jane (Campbell) Combs.

Everett was a carpenter who thoroughly enjoyed gardening and working with his hands. He was a softball coach for his sons' team and an avid quilter with his wife, Barbara. He married Barbara Vorhees on June 4, 1966, and he believed she was hand-picked by God for him. He will be remembered for being a wonderful father, always a pillar of dedication and encouragement to his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Combs; father, Beckham Combs; mother, Jane Combs; siblings, Otis Combs, Oredus Turner, Reva Salyers, Estill Combs and Matt Combs.

Everett is survived by his three sons, Andrew (Melissa) Combs, Bryce (Stephanie) Combs and Aaron Combs; grandchildren, Laurasen, Garrett, Ashlynn, Aiden, Makenna, Megan and Rowan; great grandchildren, Aliyah and Landri; sister, Jeanette Combs and a host of other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be June 22, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a service to follow at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Everett will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowersville following the service.
