Evalene Morris, 89, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on March 2, 2016.
She was born on September 6, 1926 in Wakefield, Ohio to the late Thomas and Kenova (Boggs) Short.
On July 3, 1947 she married Ernest Morris.
Evalene is survived by her loving children, Kimberly (Ray) Hedgcorth and James (Rhonda) Morris; sister, Iva Lou Legg; brother, Ernest Short; grandchildren, Gregory (Christy) Hedgcorth, Joseph Hedgcorth, Brianna (Matthew) Morris-Brock; great grandchildren, Ashleigh Hedgcorth and Dominick Flecker; very special niece, Darlene Dillon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Morris; sisters, Loraine Short, Mary Lunkes, Felcia Chancey, and brothers, Estill, Thomas, and Edgar Short.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
