Eva Brown

Eva Justine Brown, age 93, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. She was born on July 23, 1922 in Beckley, West Virginia, to the late Gratton and Georgia Lilly. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clyde Brown; brothers, Don Lilly, Roy Lilly and Robert Lilly; and son-in-law, John Wicks. Eva is survived by her two daughters, Vickie Brown Wicks and Carrie Cook; granddaughter, Leah (Joshua) Best; great-granddaughter, Eva Best; and great-grandson, Gage Best; as well as several nieces and nephews. Eva obtained an associate's degree from Beckley College and was also a Blue Bird Leader, Campfire Girl Leader and a Brownie Leader. She was an Avon Representative and won several awards for her sales. Eva was a wonderful homemaker and was the best mother that two girls could have. She will be greatly missed. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
