Ethel Orinne Baruxes (Kranz), a cherished member of her community and a beloved matriarch, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 89 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on July 30, 1936, in Elmore, Ohio, Ethel lived a life rich with love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and the numerous causes she passionately supported.

Ethel's professional journey included managing women’s clothing boutiques, notably Primrose and Magnolia's on Main in Springboro. Through her work, she not only shared her sense of style but also became a key figure in her community. Her devotion extended far beyond her career; she was recognized with many accolades for her extensive volunteer work, which included significant contributions to organizations such as TWIGs through Dayton Children's Hospital, Centerville City Schools, the Dayton Dental Auxiliary, The Humane Society of Greater Dayton, and the local Garden Club.

Educated at Fostoria High School and Bliss Business College, Ethel was not just a woman of knowledge; she was one full of life and cheer. A warm presence, she was often referred to as the "Queen" by those who loved her. With a wonderful sense of humor and the ability to connect with everyone she met, Ethel never knew a stranger. Her giving nature and unconditional love left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Ethel was the epitome of a supportive mother and grandmother, never missing a game or event for her children or grandchildren. Her pride in her family was evident, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Robinson, and her son, Pete Baruxes. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ricky (Kristen) Robinson, Chris (Jamie) Baruxes, Jamie (DJ) Asbury, and Heather (Matt) Jackson, as well as her great-grandchildren: Nolan, Lincoln, Easton, Cheyenne, Evelyn, Alex, Braxton, and Hayden. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Audrey Bruggeman and Carol Kramer, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Ruth Kranz; her brother, Loren "Butch" Kranz, and her sister, Jean Watren.
