Estelle Hope Haun
July 21, 1921 — May 21, 2019
Estelle Hope Haun, age 97, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. Preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Willard Haun, USAF Ret., and son Robert W. Haun. Estelle will be missed by her many acquaintances, friends and family. She is survived by her 4 children, 1 son-in-law, 2 daughters-in-laws, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Estelle was a kind, dedicated, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Home is where her heart was. Being a multi-talented home maker, she took great joy in taking care of her family and working diligently to provide a pleasant, welcoming home.
Estelle enjoyed the locations and people at the many Air Force bases during her husband's military career. One of her favorite bases to call home was on the remote coral atoll known as Johnston Island in the South Pacific and Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. The last, and longest residence being at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
The family extends their appreciation and gratitude for her support to Home Instead assistants, the staff at Walnut Creek Nursing Center, Kettering Hospital and Hospice of Dayton. Private services will be held at Dayton National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Estelle to Hospice of Dayton, www.hospiceofdayton.org.
