Ernest Davis

Ernest B. Davis, age 68 of Dayton, passed away February 28, 2016. He was born April 28, 1947 in Dayton to the late Ernest H. and Madelyn Davis. In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Davis.

Ernie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen Davis; son and daughter-in-law: Ernie and Tracie Davis, Jr.; sister, Pearl Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ernie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 746 and the V.F.W. Post # 2800. Ernie retired from the Montgomery County Courts Division after 30 years of service.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ernie's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
