Ernest "Ray" Cassity, Jr.

Ernest "Ray" Cassity, Jr., age 57, of Kettering, passed away on October 26, 2026. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 27, 1969, he was the cherished son of Ernest, Sr. and Eula Cassity.

Ray proudly graduated from Fairborn High School in 1991. He enjoyed his time at the Workshop at ViaQuest, where he connected with many in the community. Ray had a passion for baseball and football, loved to drink coffee, play his drum, and listen to Gospel music. Known for his loving nature, and sociability, and although he could be stubborn at times, Ray was adored by all who met him.

He is survived by his loving parents; his sister, Christa Gail (Brian) Carson; his brother, Charles (Lorie) Cassity; his nephews, Dakota Carson, Aidan & Brennan Cassity; as well as many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where the Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn.
