Emma Smith, age 96, of Xenia, OH, passed away on Monday, October 27th, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. Mrs. Smith entered this life on March 3, 1929 in Lee County, Kentucky, the daughter of Charlie & Estella Coomer Moore.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Kristie Smith; sister, Evilee Ford; three brothers, Steve Moore, Elvin Moore and Hobert Moore; as well as her nephews, Charles Barrett and Elvin Benton Moore.
She will be missed by her husband, Ray Smith of 67 years; three sons, Jack Vinson, Mike (Susan) Smith and David (Jane) Smith; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and her special friends, Pat Madison and Linda Jones.
She worked at International Envelope for 14 years and Delco Products for 20 years where she retired from GM.
She enjoyed bowling with the "Foxy Ladies", playing Euchre, Phase 10 and UNO with family and friends, crocheting, quilting and canning vegetables from the garden. After retiring, she spent her time wheeling and dealing at garage sales, volunteering at UVS in Xenia for 4-5 years and the Fish Pantry in Xenia for over 20 years.
The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the staff at Kettering Medical Center and Hospice of Dayton for all of their professional dedication and care they provided for Emma.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm.
Emma will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens following the service.
