Emma Kay Patterson

Emma Kay Patterson, age 73, of Miamisburg, passed away October 16, 2026. Emma Kay was born in West Liberty, Kentucky on April 11, 1953 to the late Homer and Lola Patrick.

Emma Kay was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 39 years, Jerry Patterson; sister, Shirley Tootle; as well as her brother, Darryl Patrick.

She is survived by brothers, Donnie (Jan) Patrick and David (Susan) Patrick; nieces and nephews, Barbara Patrick, Russell Patrick, Cheryl (Tom) Stewart, Gayle Patterson-Peets, Joyce Patterson, Julie (Greg) Koesters and Rick (Bronwyn) Patterson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Emma Kay graduated from Beavercreek High School. She retired from DESC.

She was a member of Beavercreek Baptist Church for many years. Emma Kay’s faith was very important to her. She ran the library at the church with her husband for many years.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading and listening to music. Emma Kay loved animals of all kinds, specifically dogs.

Donations may be made in Emma Kay’s memory to the ASPCA or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm.

Emma Kay will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery following the service.
