Emma Lee Moore went to be with the LORD on Sunday, September 27, 2026. She was the beloved wife to Arthur Irvin Moore for 70 years. She is mother to 4 children - Darliene Townsend (husband Gary), Arthur I. Moore Jr. (wife Corliss), Francine Brown, and Allen Moore. Her absence will be deeply felt and she will be lovingly missed by her family and friends.

Emma was born in New York City, New York. She is preceded in death by her parents Simon and Loretta Green. Also preceding her in death are two sisters – Alnisa (Dorothy) Green and Delores McCummings and two nephews belonging to Delores: Andre and Pierre McCummings.

In addition to her husband and children, Emma is survived by:

9 grandchildren – Gary Jr. and Eric Townsend; Zackary Nobel, Zuri, Zhani and Zion Moore; Edward Brown III; Allen Jr. and Brandon Moore

7 great grandchildren – Rya, Isaiah, Jordyn, Tiana, Mylah, Marleigh, and Xzavier

4 nephews - Leroy and Percy Green; Ronald and Frank McCummings

In addition, Emma leaves to cherish her memory a host of other beloved paternal nieces and nephews.
