Emilie (Gerach) Wallace, 91, of Riverside, passed away August 6, 2017. Emilie was born in Karlsruhe, Germany on July 4, 1926 to the late Ferdinand and Hermina Gerach. Emilie operated her own business making custom draperies. She was a member of the Day-Oh Ski Club and Dayton Liederkranz - Turner German Club for many years. In her free time she enjoyed spending time at Dale Hollow Lake with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Emilie was preceded in death by her son, William "Bill" Wallace; son in law, Max Mohr; and siblings, August, Eugene, Annaliese, Linchen and Ferdinand.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jack E. Wallace; daughters, Ruth (Eric) Newhouse, Anita Mohr; son, Frank (Katinka) Wallace; daughter in law, Amanda Wallace; grandchildren, Erica, Katie (Derik), Molly, Michael, Adam, Sara (Rob), Mark, Nichole (Trent), Danielle (Michael), Matthew (Allison), Matthew (Nicole), Kyle, Gabi, Andreas; great grandchildren, Rijker, Reagan, Harper, Sydney, Eli, Piper, Taylor, Jack; special niece, Brigitte Hofer; and several other relatives and special friends.
A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will be held at 3pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery.
