Elva "Joyce" Knight

Elva "Joyce" Knight (nee Stephens), age 88, passed away in Dayton, Ohio, on November 17, 2025. Born in Elliott County, Kentucky, on April 17, 1937.

Preceded in death by her father, Chester Stephens in 1990; her mother, Nellie (Barker) Stephens in 1994; her beloved husband, Edward Knight in 2019; and her two brothers, Lloyd and Eugene all of Kentucky.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Mary) Knight; three grandchildren, Natalie, James and Katrina Knight; three great grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly; and her two brothers, both in Kentucky.

She was a devout Christian and attended the Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, in Dayton, since 1972. She suffered much ill health in her life and now she has gone to Heaven, where "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).

Following her wishes, Graveside Services will be held at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, at the family's convenience.
