Elmer Glenn Lee

Elmer Glenn Lee, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on September 18, 2026, in Dayton, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 30, 1939, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and lived a life marked by steadfast dedication, deep interests, and enduring love for his family.

A hardworking man through and through, Elmer retired from Heidelberg Manufacturing after 50 years of service, a remarkable testament to his loyalty, perseverance, and strong work ethic. He also honorably and faithfully served in the United States Army, carrying that sense of duty with him throughout his life.

Elmer embraced life with energy and unmistakable enthusiasm. In his younger days, he drag raced, and that spirit of excitement and adventure remained part of who he was. He served as president of Miami Valley Street Vans and loved his Harley Davidsons, finding joy in the open road and the fellowship that came with shared passions. He also belonged to the Greene County Gun Club, another reflection of the communities and interests that meant so much to him over the years.

Above all, Elmer will be remembered within the circle of his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Lee; his sons, Jonathan Lee and David Lee; and his great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jason, Hunter, and Isaac.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Their lives carry forward the memory of a man whose presence was steady, whose example was strong, and whose love remains lasting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Lee and Myrtle Lee. and 9 siblings.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. A graveside service will be held on the next day Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Dayton National Cemetery, West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428.

Elmer Glenn Lee leaves behind a memory of devotion, strength, and a life fully lived. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
