Effie Irene Meadows, age 70 of New Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her home. She was born December 15, 1945 in East Bernstadt, KY to her late father, Grant and her mother, Fannie (Halcumb) Meadows.
In addition to her parents, Effie was preceded in death by her 5 siblings, Mary, Gene, Grant, Tulby, and Berdina.
She is survived by her 4 children, Chad Ledbetter, Tina Abraham, Fannie McKinney and Jason McKinney; 9 grandchildren, Cody, Dawn, James, Jerry, Kimberly Irene, Colton, Finnigen, Monroe and Lockland; great-grandchildren, Lanaya, Nariah, Kaiden and Matthew; siblings, Joe Meadows and Alice Copeland; numerous nieces and nephews including nieces, Lois Metcalf and Brenda Osborne.
Effie loved to tend to her garden, especially growing her sunflowers and green beans. She enjoyed doing most anything outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren.
The family would like to invite friends and family to Rob's Restaurant in Brookville, OH on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 6pm. Please RSVP by sending an email to MckinneyF@gmail.com
