Edwin Eugene Davis, affectionately known as "Ed," passed away suddenly on January 28, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 17, 1939, in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Ed was a dedicated member of his community and a loving family man.

Ed's professional journey spanned many years as a plastic mold injector. Beyond his career, he demonstrated a remarkable commitment to service as a volunteer fire captain and EMT. After retiring, Ed continued to give back to his community by volunteering at Mound Golf Course, where he shared his passion for the sport with others.

A graduate of Stivers High School, Ed showcased his musical talent by playing the saxophone during his high school years. His passion for sports extended to coaching little league baseball, a role he cherished while supporting his son through his formative years. An avid golfer, Ed relished every moment spent on the golf course, surrounded by friends and the beauty of the outdoors.

Ed's personality was characterized by his dedication, faithfulness, and caring nature. He possessed an unusual fascination with duct tape and tools, often embodying a resourceful spirit that influenced those around him. Ed's love for his family was paramount, as he enjoyed spending quality time with them, creating lasting memories.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Amy (Bryan) Cromer, and his son, Randall (Melissa) Davis. Ed was a proud grandfather to Stephanie (Sam) VanHouten, Sara Jo Davis, William Davis, and Maxwell (Summer) Davis. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, John Thomas VanHouten and Sammy VanHouten, along with many other family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Sandy Davis, as well as his parents, Woody and Eulah Davis, and his sister, Eileen Mott. His spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
