Edward E. Wysong, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on December 28, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on June 19, 1946, in Kettering, Ohio, Edward dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country with distinction during the Vietnam War. As a member of the 101st Airborne Ranger and the 82nd Special Forces, he undertook three tours in Vietnam, experiences that profoundly shaped his character and instilled a sense of pride that he carried throughout his life.

Upon returning from military service, Edward utilized his skills and training as he became a Master Mechanic, specializing in heavy equipment. He continued this line of work for many years until his retirement, contributing significantly to the industry and becoming known for his honest and caring demeanor. His hard-headedness was matched only by his reliability; Edward was always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed, earning the respect and affection of those around him.

Beyond his remarkable career, Edward led a life filled with interests that brought him joy. He found solace in farming and gardening, pursuits that reflected his appreciation for nature and hard work. Cooking was another passion, as he enjoyed creating meals for his loved ones. In quieter moments, he relished watching classic Western movies, which added to the richness of his character and spirit.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Deniese (McGee) Wysong; his children, Guy (Angel) Wysong, Jill Rader, and Steven Wysong; and grandsons, Austin Rader, Tristin Wysong, Riley Wysong, and Christopher Wysong. He is also remembered by numerous extended family members, cousins, and friends, all of whom were touched by his presence and legacy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lois (Seitz) Wysong; the mother of his children, Diana Wysong; his brothers, Don Wysong and Doug Wysong; his sons, Chris Wysong and Jeff Wysong; his grandson, Alex Rader; and his daughter-in-law, Terri Wysong.

Edward E. Wysong’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who remain. His military service stands as a testament to his dedication and sacrifice, and his love for family and friends will forever be cherished.
