Edward Whitenack, age 75 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born July 30, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to the late True and Mary Whitenack.
Ed began his career as a plumber and retired from Lewis Auto and RV. He was a loyal Moose Lodge member. He loved tinkering with his old cars and going to car shows. He enjoyed playing euchre, Bugs Bunny and listening to a local band called "Hidden Assets" that played a mixture of music. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
Ed will be missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Phyllis (James) Whitenack; son, Edward (Teresa) Whitenack; daughter, Annette Whitenack; three granddaughters, Nicole Whitenack, Jennifer Whitenack and Kristen Whitenack; two great-grandchildren, Colton Goins and Emilia Sheafer; brother, Ron (Trudy) Whitenack of New Carlisle, Ohio; sister, Connie (Lester) Zumbrun of Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends including Harry and Sue Hand and his four legged-baby, Candy.
Family will receive friends Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial will be held at a later date at Dayton Memorial Park.
